Rescission of Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Highland Lakes Homes and Businesses ONLY

PALM HARBOR, Fla.-Residents in the Highland Lakes subdivisions should be advised that the November 6, 2002 "Boil Water Advisory" has been rescinded as of 4:30 p.m. today, November 8, 2002, and that normal water use can resume immediately in the Highland Lakes subdivision only. Water samples taken over the past 48 hours confirmed that there was no contamination from Tuesday's 12-inch water distribution main break. Pinellas County Utilities originally issued the "Boil Water Advisory" for the Pine Ridge subdivision as well as parts of Highland Lakes as a precautionary step pursuant to Florida Department of Health regulations.

Pinellas County Utilities will notify all affected residents today of the rescission through door-to-door notifications. All residents and businesses located parts of Highland Lakes will be notified. The areas of Highland Lakes affected include Sherbrooke Lane, Whitebridge Drive, and the areas from Queen Anne Drive West along Highlands Boulevard to US 19, Whithorn Place, Byrnedale Court, Heather Place, and West Dorchester Drive. Residents in the Pine Ridge subdivision will remain under the boil water advisory until further notice. We will notify the residents of Pine Ridge when they may resume normal water use. Further information may be obtained at 727-464-4000.
